Prince William has been seen wearing a trendy fitness tracker as the Royal family continue to battle a string of health woes, including King Charles and the Princess of Wales’ ongoing cancer treatment
Dealing with a succession of health issues in the Royal family, including King Charles and the Princess of Wales ‘ continued cancer therapies, Prince William is one member of ‘the firm’ taking an active concern for his own health. The future king has remained a steady pillar of support for both his father and wife in recent times and was spied sporting a fashionable gadget adored by fitness fans to monitor his personal health during the UEFA Euro 2024 quarterfinals last week.
Spotted on William’s wrist as he cheered England’s triumph over Switzerland at Dusseldorf Arena on July 6 was a popular accessory – a WHOOP fitness tracker. The high-tech brand launched in 2015 and rose to massive popularity among professional athletes, tracking crucial measures such as sleep, exertion, and recovery to construct an overall portrait of their wellbeing.

Claiming to be “the most advanced wearable on the market”, this uber-luxe gadget stands apart from many other fitness trackers as it necessitates membership to utilise it, starting at £229 annually, reports the Express.
Still, William isn’t the first Royal to seriously consider his daily health, with various other Royal members having previously chosen similar items, including the Prince’s younger sibling, Prince Harry.
The Duke of Sussex was previously spotted donning a black Oura Ring during his 2018 tour of Australia with wife Meghan. This discreet gadget, which monitors sleep and activity stages, quickly sold out after being sported by the Royal.

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, has also been keeping a close eye on her health, frequently seen wearing an Apple Watch, including in a home video with husband Prince Edward and their children Lady Louise Windsor and James, Earl of Wessex, during the pandemic.
Even Queen Camilla has jumped on the fitness tracker bandwagon in the past, sporting a Fitbit before Charles ascended to the throne. However, following the death of her mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth, in 2022, she swapped the casual accessory for a delicate Cartier timepiece.

Express stylist Kaye Wyer speculated last year that “The Queen Consort may have opted for a more traditional and luxurious timepiece that adds value and elevates her overall outfit.”
She added, “This choice aligns with the Queen Consort’s position as a senior member of the royal family and highlights the importance of maintaining a certain level of elegance and formality in her appearance,”.
