Despite it only being her third season as the Las Vegas Aces’ head coach, Becky Hammon has already cemented herself as a WNBA coaching legend.

The Aces have won back to back WNBA championships under Hammon, and are getting hot at the right time midway through this 2024 WNBA regular season.

Of course, the inclusion of rookie sensations Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese into the league has drastically shifted the WNBA’s landscape (for the better).

And prior to Friday’s loss against the Los Angeles Sparks, Hammon discussed the impact these two rookies have on her own elite Aces players.

“The great thing about having Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark come in is that now [fans] are seeing A’ja Wilson, and they’re seeing… really great players.

“And then you realize what a big jump it is from the W[NBA] to college,” Hammon continued, per TJ Sports Queens.

“Every one of us that played in the W[NBA], you killed in college, you crushed college… And then you come here and it’s a different game, it’s a different level.”

Hammon certainly sounds grateful about the many more eyes both Clark and Reese have brought to the WNBA.
