Johnny Depp is renowned for his massive paychecks in Hollywood all thanks to his successful career. However, this number was not always the same as he was outpaced by his 2010 film, The Tourist co-star, Angelina Jolie. Despite the former serving as the lead in the movie, his earnings with the words he spoke on-screen were comparatively less than the latter, who got paid $20,934 per word.

The movie revolves around Depp’s character, Frank Tupelo, who has decided to travel to Italy to mend his broken heart. During his trip, he encounters Jolie’s character who is in search of her lover, Alexander Pearce, a wanted criminal.
Due to her connection with Pearce, she is being pursued by both law enforcement and dangerous criminals, with Frank getting intertwined in her dangerous journey. The Tourist grossed over $278 million at the worldwide box office but the duo’s alleged feud somewhat overshadowed the movie’s success.

Despite showing off great chemistry on-screen, there were reported troubles broiling between the duo. As per Celeb Bitchy, the duo could not stand one another which was affecting their work. Their reported feud went on to quite an extreme as Jolie was “fed up” with her co-star.
“She’s getting fed up with Johnny. Their chemistry was supposed to fly off the charts, but in private, they’re not getting along.”
The feelings were allegedly mutual, as the Edwards Scissorhands star believed that Jolie was ‘full of herself.’
