The Microsoft co-founder was spotted at the summer sports extravaganza.

As the Paris Olympics commenced in July 2024, a photograph of Bill Gates seemingly in attendance went viral on Reddit. Commenters noted that the billionaire and Microsoft co-founder looked considerably older and wondered if it was an edited picture.

The top comment on the post stated, “I guess I haven’t seen any recent pictures of him because he looks about 30 years older than I picture him when I hear his name.”

The above photograph is indeed an authentic picture of Gates, albeit a zoomed-in version of the original. Gates was photographed on July 28, 2024, watching a tennis match at the Olympics. As such, we rate this claim as “True.”
