Chris Jericho has been one of the most popular pro wrestling figures ever since he made his debut through WWE. The AEW performer has been in the industry since decades, but one thing that has probably taken on his success over the years is the controversies he has been in.

One such popular issue has been Jericho’s relationship with 50-year-old WWE veteran, MVP. The two were once great friends, but their friendship ended abruptly. In what was said to be the argument that led the two to distance themselves from each other, MVP reportedly knocked out Chris during the Rock N’ Wrestling Tour in January 2020.

As per Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, Chris and MVP’s quarrel, which took place on Y2J’s own cruise, had a heated exchange of words between the two stars. The things reached such a peak point that Montel Vontavious Porter knocked out the American-Canadian.

With the altercation taking place nearly four years ago, such a major thing being away from the limelight is surely a tough pill to take. But as far as the reports are concerned, this is actually what happened and eventually led to the end of the long-time friendship between the two greats of the pro wrestling world.

Have Chris Jericho and MVP ever crossed paths after their fight?

Jericho’s 2020 altercation with the former WWE US Champion was the peak of their real-life rivalry, but the two have crossed paths multiple times since their fight. As they’ve been at odds due to the cruise ship quarrel, all their interactions after that have made it into the headlines.

In what was probably their first interaction after that knockout saga between them, MVP and Chris had a heated exchange on X. It happened just following the results of the presidential election in the United States of America.

Moreover, in May 2022, they had another altercation in a hotel. It took place following an AEW event in Houston, when the WWE star was reportedly visiting friends from AEW. As per reports, it was Jericho who approached MVP in the lobby to discuss their issues, but Y2J later boarded the elevator and said he “doesn’t fight jobbers.”

Even though this time things didn’t turn into physical interaction, the whole situation was said to be very tense. With Jericho already in the limelight due to some serious allegations, this latest report about the MVP saga has made things even worse. Will the AEW star come out on the internet to speak publicly about this? Only Chris Jericho himself knows about his next move.
