The San Francisco 49ers have become the subjects of a surprising prediction.

The NFC side has been licking its wounds since losing to the Kansas City Chiefs at Super Bowl 58 earlier this month but will need to begin preparations for next season, when they will hope to mount another charge at the Lombardi Trophy.

95.7 The Game’s Larry Krueger has suggested that the team will end up cutting fullback Kyle Juszczyk, as well as linebacker Dre Greenlaw. Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, who hinted he wanted out via social media following the Super Bowl loss, has been tipped for a trade, though there’s a chance the Niners successfully negotiate his return.

“The 49ers are probably going to wind up cutting Kyle Juszczyk,” Krueger was quoted as saying. “There’s a chance they’ll cut Dre Greenlaw. And if they can’t reach an agreement with Aiyuk, they’re going to have to trade him.”

As you might imagine, fans aren’t buying it.

So far, there has been no indication of any of the above, save the Aiyuk mini-saga.

Greenlaw is likely to miss a huge chunk of the 2024 season as he tore his Achilles while running onto the field during the Super Bowl. Still, it would be surprising if he gets cut.
