Will Levis at the NFL Draft.
The NFL has opted not to send invites to two of the most notable quarterbacks from the 2023 NCAA season.
Will Levis’ embarrassing slip from the first round was one of the biggest stories from last year’s draft. Levis, now with the Tennessee Titans, showed up to Night 1 along with his family and then-girlfriend and was put through an awkward period as the event ended without his name being called.
He was selected by the Titans the following night and has gone on to become their starter.
It appears the NFL is looking to avoid a repeat this year. According to ProFootballTalk, the league wanted to keep numbers low in order to keep a Levis situation from reoccurring. As a result, Michael Penix Jr. and Bo Nix have not been invited.
The league has reportedly invited around 13 players to Night 1, with all of them expected to be called within the first 15.
While Penix and Nix are tipped to come off the board in the first round, that they will end up in the first 15 isn’t sure.

The NFL Is Exercising Caution In 2024
The NFL is apparently keen on preventing another embarrassing situation for a top prospect and will not throw caution to the wind.
Of course, the likes of Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and Drake Maye have all been invited. The three quarterbacks are projected to go in the aforementioned order, though J.J. McCarthy as a No. 3 overall pick is picking up steam ahead of the event.
The former Michigan star has made a significant impression on teams and scouts and is rumored to be a potential draft target for the New England Patriots, who have the third pick this year.
