Kim Gordon, Taylor SwiftKim Gordon recently shared her candid opinion of Taylor Swift‘s music—and let’s just say it’s not a popular one at the moment.

During an interview with The Guardian, the rock singer, 71, was asked about her most controversial pop culture viewpoint.

“I don’t know if it’s controversial but I’m not really a fan of Taylor Swift,” she told the publication. “I couldn’t tell you what her music sounded like, actually.”

Gordon then shared whose top-40 tracks she prefers instead, adding, “When it comes to pop icons, I would choose Billie Eilish.”

Since Swift kicked off her wildly popular Eras Tour in March 2023, countless celebrities have weighed in on her music and who she is as a person. The opinions ramped up even more after the “So High School” singer started dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce that summer.

Another fellow musician who recently spoke about the “Shake It Off” songstress was Slayer’s Gary Holt. During an interview with Scandalous Podcast on July 16, Holt, 60, made a bold declaration about Swift, 34.

“I love Taylor Swift. Why all the hate?” he told host Ashley Steinmetz, who prompted him to address “the Taylor Swift problem.”

“She’s an extraordinarily hard worker. She’s super f—ing nice to everybody, and people hate her,” Holt added. “She’s just the biggest pop star on Earth, and more power to her. I like the songs.”

Whether fellow musicians love her or hate her, it’s difficult to deny the impact Swift has had on the music industry and the economy  in recent years.
