WWE Megastar Roman Reigns is surely the top guy in the Triple H-led promotion, and there’s hardly any doubt about it. But he’s not the only star from his family to reach such a status, as his cousin, Dwayne Johnson, already has immense popularity. In fact, The Hollywood star is a massive draw in professional wrestling as well as the entertainment world.

Due to the kind of success they’ve both enjoyed, a lot of people want to see them go one-on-one in a WWE ring, but that hasn’t yet happened. Even though they haven’t fought each other, Roman and The Rock have shared the screen in “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.”

It was a massive step in Reigns’ acting career, but he did something really weird during the filming. As revealed by The Brahma Bull during the movie promotions, The Tribal Chief once threw real axes on the set of the highly popular $760 million movie. In fact, Johnson lost his cool while talking about this incident.

All this happened when the Samoan cousins were playing VT’s “Who is more likely to” game. As the host asked who was more likely to ruin a scene by laughing, the Jumanji actor couldn’t hold himself back and shared an interesting behind-the-scenes story from their shoot.

Dwayne said, “It was like okay we’re supposed to throw the axes, but as you bring the axe back you’re supposed to let it go.” After which, the effects were going to be used, but The Head Of the Table didn’t let the axe go and eventually ended up throwing it, which was clearly not how it was supposed to happen. Thus, it was surely a misunderstanding on the set.

Did Roman Reigns injure anyone by throwing real axes while shooting?

While it’s true that Roman accidentally threw the axes, what happened afterwards was even worse. As revealed by The People’s Champion during the interview, his cousin’s mistake ended up becoming a problem for the cameraman. The reason being that The Head Of the Table ended up hitting it at the guy with the camera, who got legitimately injured.

Sharing his side of the story, the WWE SmackDown star shared how all this happened because of the real action they do in the pro wrestling industry. Roman Reigns said, “You don’t have CGI in the ring.” In response to this, Dwayne started acting out how his cousin took this axe and chucked it, which ended up taking down the cameraman.

Even though the entire incident could have gone a lot worse when it happened, The Rock and The Tribal Chief were in a fun mood while sharing this story. As they’ve already been screen partners as actors, it seems that we could again see them together in a future project.

But even more importantly, the WWE universe would be waiting to see them go one-on-one in the Stamford-based promotion. Will that happen as soon as at this year’s WrestleMania? Only the future knows the answer to this question.
