Angel Reese Issues 2-Word Message After Young Fan’s Halloween Costume Goes Viral

After her standout rookie campaign in the WNBA with the Chicago Sky, Angel Reese has become one of the most well-known athletes in the world, so much so that young fans are dressing up as her for Halloween.

After being selected with the seventh overall pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft, Reese turned in a stellar season of work that saw her average 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game. That helped her earn an All-Star selection and a spot on the 2024 All-Rookie team.

While Reese fell short in her quest to win Rookie of the Year, she established herself as one of the brightest athletes in the world. So it shouldn’t come as much surprise that young fans are dressing up as her for Halloween, and when Reese came across one such costume on social media, she shared a quick two-word response.

The impact that the new wave of WNBA stars such as Reese and Caitlin Clark have had on the sports world is hard to measure, as young fans never typically would have thought to be their favorite WNBA player for Halloween before these two burst onto the scene.

Now, given how big of names they are, it’s almost as if it were expected to happen. And Reese is clearly a fan of this young fan’s costume, with there sure to be a plethora of other kids out there who had the same idea.

Reese isn’t on the court now, as she’s spending her offseason rehabbing from a fractured wrist that she suffered late in the 2024 season.

The WNBA will be back in action before you know it, though, and you can bet that when Chicago returns to the court, Reese will take center stage as she tries to build off of her mightily impressive rookie campaign.
