The Lost in Translation movie star recently revealed her reason behind not using social media platforms and why she chose to remain absent from many top social apps like Instagram. On the latest episode of The Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast, Scarlett Johansson said,
“I honestly am too fragile of a person to have social media. My ego is too fragile. I can’t deal with it. My brain is too fragile. I’m like a delicate flower. I have enough anxiety.”
While many Hollywood stars have their accounts across social media platforms, share a glimpse of their life, and often share behind the scenes of their movie stet, Johansson prefers to stay out of it to keep her mental health protected, as she claims she is too fragile to use the platforms.

During her candid conversation, Scarlett Johansson further revealed that she joined Instagram in the past for three days but then deleted it after she got too engaged while scrolling through someone’s profile, saying,
“When I started realizing that I’d spent 20 minutes looking at somebody’s Instagram page who worked for a friend of mine — I now know you have a pit bull, two daughters, and live in Burbank — I was like, I just wasted 17 minutes of time. I now feel like I should move to California, get this specific dog, and change my life in all these ways.”
The actress added,
“I felt so bad I was missing out on this random person’s life. I can’t do this. I’m too fragile. I have so much anxiety about other things.”
