Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow Doesn’t Even Come Close to Most Disliked Ever Marvel Movie That Earned $1 Billion

Starting from the 2008 movie Iron Man, Marvel Studios has established a massive franchise known as the MCU.

The studio has released more than 30 films and multiple TV shows and is not planning to stop anytime soon, as it has several new projects already planned for the franchise’s future. However, despite being one of the biggest and most popular franchises of its time, it has also seen its failures.

Although the movies under the superhero franchise have performed decently at the box office, it’s not always the same with the audience. One such movie also includes the 2019 movie Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson. And according to a new report, the sci-fi action movie continues to be the most hated MCU movie so far.

The Most Hated Movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Brie Larson made her MCU debut in the 2019 movie and has reprised her character several times, including Avengers: Endgame. And she is again set to reprise her role as Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, in the upcoming movie alongside Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani.

However, MCU fans do not have a liking to the Avengers: Endgame star, leading to huge criticism about her casting in the franchise and the 2019 movie. While the film did great at the box office, grossing over $1 billion, and was also praised by critics, fans were highly disappointed with it.

And they have still not changed their opinion about it, as it continues to top the hate list of the MCU movies. A new report based on a sample of over 120,000 tracked tweets has revealed it to be the most hated movie in 23 states.

The number is far ahead of movies like Eternals and Black Widow, which topped the chart in 7 and 6 states respectively. Other movies include the most recent releases from the studio, including Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Thor: Love and Thunder, and others.

Brie Larson’s Comeback Receiving the Same Response

The Marvel fans still haven’t changed their mind about Brie Larson’s character in the MCU, and their dislikeness for the actress and her character follows in her comeback as well. The studio released the official trainer of the upcoming movie The Marvels two months ago.

However, fans did not wait till the release of the movie to show their despise for it. Soon after the release of the official trailer, fans dislike-bombed it with more than 214K dislikes. Many called the movie and its character “woke,” as it became one of the most disliked trailers of the MCU movies. The studio has hidden the dislike count of the trailer, which was last recorded to be 468,000.

The Marvels is set to release on 10 November 2023.
