Tom Holland shared one of the funniest incidents of his life when he was successful to take perfect revenge on his brother. It happened on the sets of MCU’s multiversal drama Spider-Man: No Way Home where the Marvel favorite’s younger brother Harry Holland also played a very minor role. Tom Holland got extremely candid in the interview and revealed how he was so happy when his younger brother learned his lesson.

For those unversed, the Uncharted star’s younger brother Harry Holland played the role of a thief in the 2021 Spider-Man flick which was eventually cut from the theatrical version. Although it appeared later in the extended cut of the movie, Zendaya’s beloved enjoyed it when it was initially removed in the final cut.

What forced Tom Holland to take revenge on his young brother?

Playing Spider-Man in the MCU pushed Tom Holland to international stardom. The 27-year-old’s life completely changed after he was introduced as the third iteration of the web-slinger in Captain America: Civil War. But playing the role comes with its challenges and something similar occurred in Spider-Man: No Way Home. 

Appearing in The Graham Norton Show, Tom Holland shared that despite not having any complaints about the role that gave him so much, he can never stop a particular day. It was the scene involving the interaction between Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus and Holland’s Spider-Man where he had to hang upside down for 11 hours. He admitted that filming the scene was brutal and when he tried to explain that to his brother, the latter didn’t take it seriously at all and said:
“Mate, you’re Spider-Man. S*ck it up and get on with it. You’ll be fine.”
But ultimately the Avengers: Infinity War actor found a golden opportunity for revenge when his brother Harry Holland was cast in a small role. It was Tom Holland who recommended his brother’s name and also requested the stunt coordinator to design a sequence where he will hang upside down.
“We cast Harry and he’s on set. I go up to the stunt coordinator and I’m like, ‘Please just whatever you do with the stunt, make it so he’s upside down.’”

The Nathan Drake actor was successful when Harry Holland learned his lesson and agreed how painful it was to hang upside down.
“So we’re driving home that day and I was actually really proud of him. But he’s driving home that day and he’s like, ‘Mate you can complain as much as you want. That is brutal.’”
The situation even took a dark and humorous turn when the British actor revealed that the scene was cut from the theatrical version which was the “icing on the cake”. Although many fans got offended by the remark, it is not anything unnatural between siblings. Moreover, the older Holland also admitted earlier how he was proud of his brother.

Recently, Tom Holland raised several headlines after he announced a temporary break from acting. He was last seen in the Apple TV+ series The Crowded Room which reportedly took a toll on the actor who wanted to go on a break.

But now another visit to a podcast hosted by Jay Shetty saw the actor stating his lack of love for Hollywood. According to the actor, he is not a fan of the business and he has seen in the past what it does to many.
“Look, I really am a massive fan of making movies but I really do not like Hollywood, it is not for me. The business really scares me.”
 

The fans were shocked after this news but the actor opened up about how many of his close friends and associates lost themselves to the business. Holland doesn’t want to follow a similar path and wants to focus on the things he loves- “I just am really, really keen to focus on what makes me happy, which is my family, it’s my friends.” 

Tom Holland’s last few projects after No Way Home also didn’t perform well among the masses. His latest statements have also led many fans to believe that the actor might want to leave the industry soon after a few more projects.
