Once again, Taylor Swift has packed another stadium in Kansas City.

No, she didn’t swing through town to add another stop to her never-ending Eras Tour. Nor was she here to see her beau Travis Kelce playing in a Kansas City Chiefs game. In fact she wasn’t even in Kansas City.

Even without her presence, Swifties still showed up in droves at Legends Field in Kansas City, Kansas, where the Monarchs play. The team wasn’t the Kansas City Monarchs Saturday night though. For one night the team changed its name to the Kansas Swiftie Monarchs.

The name change was part of a promotion to draw Taylor Swift fans in. Maybe not everyone there was in attendance to take in a baseball game between the Monarchs and the Lincoln Saltdogs. There were those two tickets being given away to one fan to see Swift perform in her Eras Tour stop in Indianapolis.

The crowd wasn’t as big as Swift’s two sellout shows at Arrowhead Stadium last summer but the vibe was similar. With plenty of Swifties showing up with wrists full of friendship bracelets and outfits with nods to Swift and her music, it looked a lot like the Eras Tour. The nods to the pop star diva didn’t end there though. Taylor Swift songs were played for the walkup music as each Monarch player came to the plate to take their turns at bat.

Insert the title of your favorite Taylor Swift song about loss here. The Monarchs were edged out by the Saltdogs, 5-4.

Here are photos from Saturday’s Kansas Swiftie Monarchs game.
