Shocking video Becky Hammon ADMITS she moved Fever at Aces to T-Mobile Arena so the team could make MORE MONEY
Las Vegas Aces Shine in Front of Largest WNBA Crowd Since 1999
Las Vegas, NV — The Las Vegas Aces drew an electrifying crowd in their recent game, marking the largest attendance at a WNBA event since 1999. Head Coach Becky Hammon expressed her thoughts on the fans’ impact and the team’s performance.
“When the schedule came out and we knew Caitlin [Clark] was declaring, there was talk about moving it, but I said, ‘Can we make money?’ and they said yes. It was an easy decision,” Coach Hammon remarked, reflecting on the impressive turnout.
“Vegas has been showing up for the past two, three years, so I’m not surprised. We’ve come close to filling up this building last year,” she added, emphasizing the strong support from their fans.
The team’s defensive improvements were also a topic of discussion. “It’s been a more focused, purposeful intention to detail,” Hammon noted. “You gotta want to stop your player, stop the other team, communicate, and have a high level of trust.”
Regarding the record-breaking attendance, Hammon commented on the significance of such crowds at WNBA games. “It’s great basketball. It’s growing like crazy because it’s a great product,” she said, acknowledging the growth of the fan base and the commitment of the team to their supporters.
Chelsea Gray’s role in setting screens was highlighted, with Hammon praising her versatility and impact on offensive plays. “Everybody’s supposed to be doing their job. Asia sets great screens. It doesn’t matter what we’re running if you don’t have that attention to detail,” she explained.
Reflecting on the game’s standout performances, Hammon discussed Kelsey Plum’s contributions. “Tonight it was KP. She did a really good job of taking really good shots and making great decisions with the basketball,” she praised.
The Las Vegas Aces continue to thrive, buoyed by a passionate fan base and a commitment to excellence on both ends of the court. As the WNBA season progresses, their ability to draw large crowds and deliver thrilling basketball moments solidifies their status as a powerhouse in women’s sports.
