Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's 24 hours in Sydney from £13k-a-night hotel to Zoo date

The Kanas City Chiefs tight end has joined the Shake It Off songstress Down Under after the NFL star’s storming success at the Super Bowl. Blank Space singer Taylor is back for her sold-out Eras Tour performances in Australia, landing in the city this week.

She’d been in Melbourne, kicking off the concerts after a brief break, and now the two are enjoying some well-deserved downtime before Taylor’s shows kick off again. Here The Mirror looks at the happy couple’s first 24 hours since touching down in Sydney.

Taylor and Travis of course travelled in style, taking the chart-topping musician’s controversial private jet. The football star arrived after Taylor, taking the Bombardier Global 6000 aircraft from Hawaii, landing just before 9am on Thursday.

Some Swifties previously slammed the star for flying around in the private plane throughout her tour and while attending NFL games. But Taylor’s team have since responded to the conflict, claiming she’s offsetting her carbon footprint with cash.

“Taylor purchased more than double the carbon credits needed to offset all tour travel,” a representative told AP earlier this month. Straight after Travis’ gas-guzzling journey to meet Taylor, he was transported to his girlfriend’s eye-wateringly expensive hotel.

Taylor and Travis are resting up in the penthouse of the five-star Crown Sydney hotel between shows, with The Presidential Villa coming complete with panoramic views of the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, views Travis was seen admiring.

The lavish room costs in the region of $38,000 AUD per night (around $25,000 USD and £19,800). The residence is on the 88th floor of the hotel and features floor-to-ceiling windows, an open-air terrace and a private infinity pool.
