Taylor Swift finally set for ‘awkward’ Jason and Kylie Kelce showdown

Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie will be at Highmark Stadium to support the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, leaving Taylor Swift with a social dilemma.

If Taylor Swift travels to Buffalo this weekend to watch boyfriend Travis Kelce play then she may face an awkward encounter with his sister-in-law. The Kansas City Chiefs face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, with the winner advancing to the AFC Championship Game on Jan. 27-28 weekend.

Swift was again there to support Kelce last week in her first taste of NFL postseason action, as the Chiefs beat the Miami Dolphins.

It was the coldest playoff game in NFL history as temperatures reached -20 degrees Celsius, but Swift was tucked away in the executive suite at Arrowhead Stadium. It’s not yet known whether she will fly to Buffalo for Sunday’s game away at Highmark Stadium, but Travis’ brother Jason and his wife Kylie have already committed according to People.

Kylie risked her future bond with Swift as soon as her relationship with Travis became public, as she made negative comments about the attention her family was now receiving. Swift took this personally according to Life&Style Magazine, and it could make for an uncomfortable watch if both are in attendance.

This season has been all about Swift and Kelce, and it’s even raised the profile of Jason Kelce, Travis’ brother. The siblings share a podcast and Jason recently announced his decision to retire after his Philadelphia Eagles suffered an early exit from the playoffs.

Because of this Jason will able to support his brother, and due to the cold weather, likely they’ll also be in a suite. They could spend multiple hours with Swift for the first time at a game, and it could be awkward after Jason’s wife upset the singer.

According to the magazine, Swift’s introduction to Kelce’s family has been far from smooth. Before Jason Kelce’s Philadelphia Eagles team played brother Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs last November, Kylie gave an interview that reportedly rubbed superstar singer Swift the wrong way.

“It’s not particularly my cup of tea to be in the spotlight or in front of a camera,” Kylie said in November. She also isn’t a fan of watching from a suite, as Kylie said she was a ‘stands girl’ and prefers the atmosphere. “I’m a stands girl,” she explained. “I love sitting in the stands, cheering with the fans, even if it’s in an opposing team’s stadium.

“Travis has a lot of people that come to games, appropriately so, everyone loves to support him but it means that it’s a tight squeeze in there.” A source told Life and Style that Swift wasn’t impressed by the comments, and it’s been awkward since.

“Taylor hasn’t had the best reception from Jason and his wife,” the source said. “Taylor took that personally and since then it’s been very awkward. Taylor understands that it can be exhausting, but she can’t help that everything she does becomes front-page news.”
