Taylor Swift has contributed $100,000 to a GoFundMe page set up for the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, who was killed in a mass shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory parade earlier this week.

Taylor Swift Donates $100K to Family of Woman Killed at Chiefs Victory Parade

The Elizabeth Lopez-Galvan Memorial page was set up Thursday afternoon with a goal of raising $75,000 for the victim’s family. Early this morning, Swift pushed the total past its goal with two separate donations of $50,000. So far, more than 1,300 people have donated. Variety confirmed Swift’s donations are legitimate.

“Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss,” the singer wrote on the page alongside her dual donations. “With love, Taylor Swift.”

Lopez-Galvan died on Wednesday during a mass shooting at the Chiefs’ victory parade following their Super Bowl win. The shooter injured 22 people, with Lopez-Galvan as the sole fatality. Her son, Marc Lopez-Galvan, was among the other victims, but has since been released from the hospital.

“This fund has been set up to benefit the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan,” the GoFundMe page notes. “Lisa was celebrating the Chiefs’ Super Bowl Victory parade when senselessly killed. She is survived by two children and her husband of 22 years. She was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many. We ask that you continue to keep her family in your prayers as we grieve the loss of her life. This fund will help provide vital financial support to her family as they process this unthinkable tragedy. Any amount is appreciated.”

During a press conference earlier this week, Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves confirmed that three people, including two minors, had been detained following the shooting. One was later released, however two teenagers are still in custody. “This appears to be a dispute between several people that ended in gunfire,” Graves said, according to Reuters. “Preliminary investigative findings have show there is no nexus to terrorism or homegrown violent extremism.”

Swift has become one of the Chiefs’ most prominent fans thanks to her relationship with player Travis Kelce. The singer was present at most of the Chiefs’ games this season and their playoff run, as well as at last weekend’s Super Bowl.
