Taylor Swift Reveals Why She Chose Caitlin Clark’s City for Final Eras U.S. Show
Taylor Swift’s three-night concert in Indianapolis is her final show in the U.S. before performing in Canada to officially end her Eras Tour. That being said, the pop star has a good reason for choosing the city.
In the second night of her concert at Lucas Oil Stadium, Swift spoke to the fans before starting another performance, revealing why she specifically picked Indianapolis to host her last show in the U.S.
According to Swift, they wanted to end the USA Eras Tour in a city where people are dedicated, generous and fun.
“So we spent the entire year of 2024 taking the Eras Tour all over the world,” Swift said. We went to Australia, Asia and spent all our summer in Europe. And I remember thinking, you know, if we’re gonna end all of our US shows at one place, we’ve got to pick a place where the fans are so incredible, so dedicated, so generous, so passionate, so fun.
“That’s when we decided that our very last U.S. show on the Eras Tour will be Indianapolis, Indiana,” she added, prompting massive cheers from the crowd.
Sure enough, Taylor Swift made the right decision. The city of Indianapolis certainly delivered to her expectations, with the first night of her concert on Friday making history by breaking the all-time attendance record at Lucas Oil Stadium.
According to reports, the second night broke that attendance record once again.
Indiana Fever All-Star Caitlin Clark, Indiana’s favorite superstar athlete, was in attendance for the first night and even went back on Saturday to watch Swift perform again—highlighting how much she and the whole city love Swift.
