There’s only one way to say it: Taylor Swift looks like a bride at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
The artist, whose album Midnights is nominated for Album of the Year, arrived at the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles just before the February 4, 2024, event kicked off, stepping out in what appeared to be a wedding dress.
The all-white strapless ensemble by Schiaparelli Haute Couture, featuring a pleated bodice and a high slit with major volume at the hip, quickly became the fashion moment of the evening.
This isn’t surprising, considering the fact that she and boyfriend Travis Kelce—who was unable to be with Swift on her big night as he prepares for next weekend’s Super Bowl game—have been sparking engagement rumors over the last few weeks.
Swift’s look wasn’t just bridal-inspired—it also spoke to several of-the-moment trends that are currently taking the bridal fashion world by storm.
For starters, Swift accessorized the look with long velvet opera gloves, which so many brides are adding to their big-day looks right now.
The back of the singer’s gown also revealed that the bodice was a corset—and the corseted wedding dress is arguably the most popular style of 2024.
While Swift’s Grammys attire was decidedly aisle-inspired (and Reputation coded, since the look was also a reference to the black-and-white album cover), she punched up her look with all-black accessories, which gave her ensemble some award show-appropriate, rocker edge.
Layered diamond necklaces from Lorraine Schwartz, including a black clock choker set to midnight (so clever!), and black peep-toe Giuseppe Zanotti pumps completed the look—and a side-swept reverse braid kept all the attention on every meaningful detail.
