Taylor Swift is once again one of the most-nominated musicians at the Grammys. The singer is up for six more awards this year, and there’s a good chance she’ll walk away with more gold to her name. If she comes out on top in one specific field, she’ll match two of the most successful women in pop music history.

This year, Swift is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album for her most recent full-length of original material, Midnights. The set was a massive commercial success when it arrived in late 2022, and now it’s competing for a number of important trophies.

Clarkson was the first musician to win Best Pop Vocal Album twice–a feat she accomplished more than a decade ago. She first was named the champion in 2006 for her set Breakaway. In 2013, she doubled her sum when Stronger won the field.

Adele managed the same showing, only in a shorter span of time. Her sophomore title 21 won Best Pop Vocal Album in 2012. In 2017, she returned and won the category again with 21’s follow-up, 25.

Midnights has a very good chance of winning not only Best Pop Vocal Album this year but also Album of the Year–something Swift has earned three times in the past. This time around, the singer-songwriter is up against fellow possible champions Miley Cyrus’ Endless Summer Vacation, Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts, Ed Sheeran’s – (Subtract), and Clarkson’s latest, Chemistry.
