Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce might well be one of the most adored couples in the world right now, and at the very least, the pair have taken the NFL by storm. But according to one TV analyst, Swift may well change her mind about the relationship when she sees San Francisco 49ers player George Kittle at the Super Bowl

On Monday, NFL Network’s David Carr suggested Swift could do better than Kansas City Chiefs star Kelce, 34, and bizarrely threw Kittle’s name into the equation as a possible upgrade on her boyfriend.

Carr paid a bizarre compliment to the 49ers tight end ahead of the NFL’s Super Bowl Opening Night festivities in Las Vegas, with the two teams set to meet to on February 11.

The former NFL quarterback was asked which player he had hoped to see Monday for the opening event – and his elaborate answer caught everyone off guard.

“George Kittle,” Carr said before adding: “I’m glad Taylor Swift is out of the country because if she sees George Kittle, she may rethink the tight end she chose.”

Carr’s co-hosts had to jump in and remind him that Kittle is already spoken for, having married his wife, Claire, in 2019 after the pair met while studying at the University of Iowa.

While his comments praising Kittle’s appearance were surprising to say the least, it is less so that Kelce and Swift’s relationship was brought into the conversation.

Not the first awkward moment for Kittle
It is not known how Kittle took those comments, but it is not even the first awkward moment this week for the football star.

He probably wasn’t expecting such a loaded question when he spoke to Jeremiah Fennell, an 11-year-old boy chosen by the NFL to be a guest reporter, on Monday.
