Since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce went public with their relationship in September 2023, Swifties and regular folks alike have been obsessed with their romance.

The power couple is still going strong in 2024, prompting rumors of an impending engagement-but a Swift confidant recently sent a blunt message about the reports. In an article published on Friday, Jan. 12, a source close to Swift set the record straight regarding the engagement rumors. “Travis and Taylor have no plans on getting engaged this summer,” they told Us Weekly.

“Things between them are going amazing, but they haven’t even been together for a year yet and still have so much to learn about each other.” The source noted that Swift and Kelce know that “a lot of their loved ones” would be over the moon about an engagement. However, the couple has no plans for an engagement “anytime soon.”

This latest insider knowledge comes on the heels of reports that Kelce plans to get down on one knee in summer 2024. “Taylor and Travis discussed it and there is a plan,” a source told Page Six on Jan. 11. “They will get engaged on their one-year anniversary in July.” In December, Kelce’s childhood friend, Cheterah Jackson, shared that she wouldn’t be surprised if wedding bells were in the future for the Chiefs tight end and “Lover” songstress.

“Taylor and Travis are so in love,” Jackson told Entertainment Tonight. “It was so cute seeing them together…I can see them getting married.” Timing aside, we’re positive plenty of Travis shippers would agree!
