Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship has experienced a ‘notable shift,’ a body language expert has claimed – as the new couple were pictured on two back-to-back date nights in New York City over the weekend.

The couple appeared closer than ever as they exited The Waverly Inn on Sunday night, with the football star, 34, tenderly placing a hand on Taylor’s back.

This move came after they had been seen holding hands following a romantic date the night before, which saw the Kansas City Chiefs star pictured leaving Taylor’s Tribeca apartment on Sunday afternoon.

According to body language expert Darren Stanton, the pair’s latest public interactions dismissed previous beliefs that they seemed to have a ‘lack of connection,’ with their tactile displays hinting that there is ‘a real intensity’ growing between the new couple.

He explained: ‘These are great pictures of Taylor and Travis – very revealing and very telling, with the duo appearing extremely tactile with one another. Previously, it wasn’t clear whether it was a proper relationship and the duo seemed to lack connection – however, the latest images tell a different story and there’s been a notable shift in their body language.

‘It’s very clear there is a romantic connection between the two now, they show a real intensity and a high level of affection.’

The behavioral expert, speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, adds that their public displays of affection over the weekend indicate that ‘their romance is quite full on already.’

Darren continued: ‘Travis has his hand on Taylor’s backside in public and he also has his arm around her in some intimate places, so that tells me that they’ve formed a deep relationship.

‘Generally, when people are in public they tend to be quite reserved in terms of how tactile they are, yet here it’s clear Travis and Taylor don’t care who they are seen by and are more than happy to show public displays of affection. This would suggest that their romance is quite full on already in its early stages.’

He also suggested that Taylor, 33, was enjoying the chance to try a romance with someone who had a more ‘dominating presence’ than her previous partners.

Darren explained: ‘Taylor is laughing and seems genuinely happy, while Travis appears an alpha male, with his hands all over her. He has a very dominating presence and seems to have a different persona to those Taylor has dated in the past.

‘It’s interesting as it’s usually Taylor who appears more dominant within her relationships, suggesting she could be willing to try something different this time.’

Sunday saw the Bad Blood hitmaker happily hold hands with her beau as they strolled down the street in New York together after the incredible $96 million weekend opening of her Eras tour documentary movie.

The Grammy Award winner — who made a surprise appearance on SNL along with Travis on Saturday — stunned in a sultry sheer black and green floral top and a leggy black mini skirt for the outing.

It was a second date night in a row for the couple, who kicked off their whirlwind romance last month after the NFL hunk decided to shoot his shot with the singer back in July.

During their romantic date the night prior, onlookers saw Travis gallantly helping Taylor put her coat on after a romantic dinner at Nobu that saw them cuddling at the table, according to TMZ.

After the intimate dinner the couple headed to 30 Rock to film SNL, and were later spotted joining their SNL co-stars at an afterparty held at Catch.

With her hand in Travis’s, Taylor looked totally smitten as she was photographed glancing up at NFL star and smiling.

Travis was then spotted leaving Taylor’s Tribeca apartment on Sunday about 3pm.

Taylor decided to steer clear of his brother, Jason, and the Philadelphia Eagles’ game in New Jersey at MetLife Stadium, with Travis attending the event with some friends.

Us Weekly recently reported that Taylor, who is wrapping up her Eras tour, and Travis, who is battling for another Super Bowl ring, are both extremely busy and are ‘understanding of each other’s schedules.

Those close to the couple told the outlet that this understanding makes them a ‘good match.’

‘It’s still so new, but they really like each other,’ an insider added, as the couple went public just a few weeks ago.

‘They’re supportive of each other and they don’t have to be by each other’s side all the time and that feels comfortable,’ the source added.

‘They plan to carve out moments to spend together to get to know each other better.’

Taylor has attended a number of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s games — with the most recent being the team’s big win over the Denver Broncos on Thursday.

At the game she was pictured cozying up to Travis’s mom Donna and was seen speaking to his father, Ed, for the first time.

Donna and Taylor laughed and chatted during the game, cheering on Travis when he scored a touchdown.

Meeting parents for the first time is often stressful, but sources shared that the first meeting went ‘very well,’ and Taylor seems to have particularly won over Donna, who called her a ‘lovely person.’
