Taylor Swift’s $100M home is the most famous in New York – It was a great inspiration for her to produce the blockbuster movie “The Eras Tour”

One of Taylor Swift’s most renowned residences has been put up for sale.

Following its rental listing at a staggering $45,000 per month in November, the former New York City rental on Cornelia Street, which inspired Taylor Swift’s 2019 song “Cornelia Street,” is now officially on the market for $17.995M. The townhouse served as a temporary home for the Grammy-winning singer in 2016 while her Tribeca property underwent renovation.

Records from StreetEasy indicate that Swift rented the luxurious townhouse for $38,000 per month at the time.
Presently, Laurence Carty, Irene Lo, and Jennifer Rahilly from Corcoran are responsible for handling the property’s listing.

Built in 1870, the carriage house exudes character and charm. The release highlights its four bedrooms, five full baths, and two half baths, featuring “drɑmɑtic double-height ceilings.” The townhouse boasts three gas fireplaces, hardwood floors, and even includes an elevator.
Occupying four stories and spanning 5,400 square feet, the residence offers an impressive kitchen with sleek appliances, a wine fridge, and granite countertops.

A rare find in New York City homes, the property features a private indoor pool, measuring an impressive 30 by 15 feet and over 5 feet deep. During summer, the area adjacent to the pool opens up to an outdoor patio.
Moreover, the dreamy real estate boasts a rooftop terrace offering stunning views of downtown Manhattan.

With its iconic brick facade, the exterior showcases a garage complete with a rustic wooden door and two smaller matching doors.

The West Village house doesn’t limit its outdoor spaces to just the rooftop. Both of the third-floor bedrooms have their own private terraces. While each terrace comes with walk-in closets, the primary bedroom’s terrace also features an “outdoor lounge” with a fireplace.

Swift’s song “Cornelia Street,” featured on her 2019 album Lover, immortalizes her time spent in this dwelling. In the track, she sings, “‘I rent a place on Cornelia Street,’ I sаy casually in the car.”
The property’s former owner at the time of Swift’s rental, David Aldea, an executive at Soho House, fondly recalled her initial reaction to the house during an interview with Vulture.
He shared, “She walked in, and I’ll never forget this — she said, ‘Oooh, it’s so crafty.’ And in Taylor-speak, that means ‘I like everything.’ She asked if she could rent not just the house but my style as well. So towels and dishes and glassware and furniture and just kind of ‘Take your clothes and go.’ So I did. She was an absolute delight to deal with.”
