You always know Swims is gonna deliver live. It’s not easy to match the quality of your studio vocals, but he really goes above and beyond and makes it hit even harder live, which is no doubt why he’s scored so many viral videos with his live cuts. Here, Swims is one of our favorite emerging artists, and we can’t wait to hear his forthcoming second studio.
Swims dropped into the Jingle Bell Ball at the O2 Arena on December 7, 2024, for a four-song setlist. Fans were really vibing to the performance and added comments such as “He deserves it SO MUCH. What a talented man. Real talent don’t need Auto-Tune” and “Oh, I just try not to lose control when I am listening to you!”
Swims played his three hit singles at the Jingle Bell Ball, namely “The Door,” “Bad Dreams,” and “Lose Control.” His set also included a bit of a curveball in the form of Shania Twain’s “You’re Still the One.” We are always ready for a bit of a throwback to the hits of the ‘90s, and Swims did a great job putting his own spin on the classic ballad. The Georgia-born singer dedicated the cover to his mother, and you can see him kick it off at 7:35 in the full set capture uploaded by Capital FM.
Teddy Swims broke through to the mainstream with his June 23, 2023, single “Lose Control.” The song was the first time he’d ever charted on the Billboard 100, but it peaked at number one in his homeland, as well as in a number of European markets. The success of the single helped drive his debut studio album I’ve Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 1) to a US Gold certification. Swims’ fans are now eagerly awaiting his sophomore studio album, I’ve Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 2), which is due out on January 28, 2025. Fans got an early taste of the album in the form of the single “Bad Dreams,” which the soul star released on September 13, 2024.
