Sir Brian May turned seventy-seven this Friday. During his third and final 30th anniversary performance in Tuscany, the Queen guitarist performed with Andrea Bocelli.

In backstage footage you can view above, the rock legend was surprised with a birthday cake, before the Italian maestro sang Happy Birthday to him live on stage.

Sharing the moment on social media, Sir Brian wrote: “How grateful am I ? Who gets to have Andrea Bocelli sing Happy Birthday for him ?!!!! (along with the entire beautiful Tuscan audience ! ) Well, a birthday I will never forget – Thanks all – BRI XXX.”
In the footage above, fans can view a clip of Andrea and Sir Brian performing the 1986 Queen power ballad Who Wants to Live Forever.
Penned by the guitar legend for the soundtrack of the Hollywood movie Highlander, it features on Queen’s A Kind of Magic album before being included on their second compilation album, Greatest Hits II.

Seal also famously performed the track at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, five months after the singer’s untimely death.
