She has too many fans for the manufacturers to handle
Caitlin Clark is almost proving to be too popular for her own good with the Indiana Fever and the WNBA as a whole struggling to work out how to properly market her.
She enjoyed an incredible season in the NCAA for the Iowa Hawkeyes and that led to a huge swell of interest in her and her rivalry with Angel Reese who now plays for the Chicago Sky.

She was then the No.1 draft pick in the WNBA and was snapped up by the Fever, who have had the tough task of navigating their season whilst having this superstar with a growing profile on their roster.
Clark’s jersey sells out in 15 minutes
On Friday, the Fever started sticking Clark‘s All-Star jersey which she will wear in the upcoming All-Star game, in which she will be on the same team as Reese.
It took only around 15 minutes for the Fever to then announce that the jersey is out of stock, and there will not be a restock of that particular product.
This seems like a massive wasted opportunity for the Fever, both for their national profile and their bank account.
Clearly there was a huge amount more interest than jerseys, and they have missed out on a lot of money.
“How are y’all the actual team store – people who WORK for the organization – and still are not able to understand the financial stalwart you have with Caitlin Clark? Man, y’all was not ready for ANY of this,” one fan asked.
Another fan said, “Is it me or is the entire WNBA organization clueless on building a brand and its image? CC22 is the HOTTEST brand since Dr J, Magic, Bird, Jordan, and this is your preparation and response?”
“You guys are so unprepared for CC,” a third fan replied.
“I swear the WNBA does not deserve to be successful in anyway shape or form. Imagine the NBA running out of lebron or curry jerseys? And then saying they won’t restock…. Just pathetic,” a fourth fan commented.
