Ahead of their sixth consecutive appearance in the AFC Championship game, the Kansas City Chiefs concluded their final practice session before departing for Baltimore.

The Chiefs are set to face off against the Ravens on Sunday, with a chance to secure a spot in the Super Bowl in Las Vegas hanging in the balance.

Notably, Baltimore has not reached an NFL championship game since 2012, while Kansas City is eyeing its fourth AFC title in the last five years.

Remarkably, during their streak of six consecutive AFC Championship appearances, the Chiefs have not suffered a regulation defeat at this level. Their only two conference championship losses came in overtime, against the Patriots in 2018 and the Bengals in 2021.

This upcoming game marks a significant change for Kansas City, as it will be their first road conference championship game during this remarkable run, having hosted the previous five AFC Championship matches.

Prior to last week, star quarterback Patrick Mahomes had never played in a road NFL playoff game.

Head coach Andy Reid, a seasoned veteran, is leading his team into his 11th conference championship game. He previously guided the Eagles to five such games between 2001 and 2008.

Lamar Jackson has never made an appearance in a Super Bowl, making Sunday’s game a significant milestone for him, as it marks his first contest beyond the Divisional round.
