The ‘oldest Taylor Swift fan’, aged 90, traveled across the Atlantic to attend concerts by her favorite singer in London and Paris.-TT

A 90-year-old grandmother has dubbed herself Taylor Swift‘s ‘oldest fan’ after jetting across the Atlantic to see her favourite singer in both London and Paris.

Nancy Strong, from Dallas, Texas, started supporting the pop star 15 years ago – when Kanye West famously ambushed her on stage at the 2009 MTV VMAs.

And this year, she has for the first time been able to see her live as the musician kicked off the European leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour.

Her granddaughters, Jenn Strong, 30, and Brianne Pattison, 36, are also Swifties and managed to bag three tickets to Taylor’s Paris show for $98 each.

But when Nancy was in the UK for business and noticed Taylor’s show in Wembley overlapped with her visit, she knew she had to try and go again.

Jenn, who works at a non-profit children’s cancer fund, also secured tickets that cost $800 per person through a third party vendor.

Nancy – who stayed on her feet for the full three-and-a-half hour set to dance – also hopes to see her for a third time when her tour returns to the US, dubbing Taylor a ‘phenomenon’.

‘She’s incredible and universal. I stand in awe of it,’ she gushed. ‘I never sit down. I love to stand up and move.

‘You gather energy from the crowd.’

The grandmother also expressed that, even at 90, your ‘heart is still a 20 year old’s’, meaning Taylor’s songs still resonate across generations.

‘I have been a semi-fan since 2009 when Kayne did a number on her,’ Nancy added.

‘She speaks to everybody with her lyrics. My favourite song is The Man. As a woman who started out in business in the 70s and 80s I can relate.’

Her granddaughter Jenn also remarked that while ‘money comes and goes, memories last forever’, as she discussed spending $1,600 on last minute London tickets for her and Nancy.

The pair spent the day trying to find an outfit for Nancy – finding a pink one-of-a-kind Taylor Swift jacket and top in Camden.

‘I thought “I’m 90, why I am trying to get into this little jacket?”,’ Nancy recalled. ‘But it turned out I was the only one with that pink Taylor Swift jacket.

‘It was great fun. Everybody said I looked a lot younger.’

She said: ‘I loved “Shake It Off”. Everything you can go through I think in life that’s all you can do – just shake it off.’
