Susan Boyle fans go wild over rare public appearance as she reunites with Peter Kay

Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle posed for a photo with comedian Peter Kay 12 years after the pair collaborated for a Comic Relief track

Susan Boyle has wowed fans with a rare public appearance as she reunited with her old pal Peter Kay – 12 years after the pair first worked together.

Britain’s Got Talent star Susan, 62, and comedian Peter, 49, posed for a photo together as she visited the Phoenix Nights star during his live comedy tour, Peter Kay Live! in Glasgow.

The photo sees Scottish singer Susan smiling as Peter wraps an arm around Susan as she pair grin at the camera.

Susan is wearing a tweed coat and a grey top while comedian Peter is sporting a bright blue shirt and black blazer as he is wearing a hands-free microphone.

As Susan’s official Instagram page posted the photo, they shared it alongside a photo of the pair’s single cover image for their Comic Relief track, I Know Him So Well.

The caption then read: “A reunion 12 years in the making! Susan Boyle & Peter Kay back together again after she went to see his hilariously brilliant show “Peter Kay Live” in Glasgow.

Another added: “Nice to hear from you,” followed by a red heart emoji.

While another fan, who was in the audience at Peter Kay’s show last night, revealed the crowd chanted Susan’s name during the show.

They penned: “I was at Peter Kay last night as well Susan, and Peter is a comedy genius! What an excellent show laughed the whole way through his act. Was amazing when the whole arena started shouting your name!”

Another gushed: “2 of the very best right there. One of the best comedians, one of the best singers ever. Love you guys.”

Susan and Peter worked together on a single to raise money for Comic Relief.

The BGT star and Peter, who dressed as Geraldine – a Northern Irish character from his show Britain’s Got The Pop Factor…On Ice – performed a cover of Elaine Paige and Barbara Dickson’s song I Know Him So Well from the musical Chess.

The pair helped to raise an incredible £42 million for Comic Relief that year.

Geraldine and Susan made a music video for the duet, which saw Susan’s hair grow in size throughout the song while the pair emulated the original video by Elaine and Barbara in a hilarious spoof.
The track peaked at number 11 in the charts.

Meanwhile, Peter’s latest comedy show isn’t the first time Susan has seen the comedian live.

She was spotted by Peter himself in Glasgow performance of his show, The Tour That Doesn’t Tour, Tour in 2011.

As Peter turned the camera to the audience and made jokes about those in the crowd.

As he found Susan in the crowd and filmed her, Peter joked it was a Susan lookalike in the audience as he said: “Have a look as Susan Boyle, look at her!

“You’re the absolute spit of her. Here, you should think about doing a tribute act to her, love!”
