Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever WNBA jersey is a tough purchase these days. Unless you’re a country music star.
Tim McGraw has made no secrets about his love of former Hawkeye star Caitlin Clark. During a concert in Iowa this spring, McGraw made the crowd go nuts when he appeared wearing a #22 Iowa Hawkeye jersey on stage.
On Thursday night, McGraw’s tour found him playing Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the home of the Indiana Pacers of the NBA, and the Indiana Fever of the WNBA. And once again, Tim decided to play to the home crowd and rock the latest Caitlin Clark jersey from the Fever!
It is awesome to see so many men, famous or otherwise, rocking Caitlin Clark’s jerseys and shirts. Raising the profile of the WNBA and boosting the league’s profits will lead to greater income equality between the NBA and WNBA.
However, fans who want to rock a Caitlin Clark jersey are going to have to wait a while to do so. Fox Business reports that if you didn’t get one of the Nike jerseys during the initial on-sale following the WNBA Draft, it could be months before you can get your hands on one. Fanatics has already sold out and a message on their website says they won’t be able to ship any more until August. The WNBA season will be almost over!
Fox Business reports that Dick’s Sporting Goods is also sold out and won’t ship any more #22 jerseys until October! You’d be better off just asking for one for Christmas! Another example of the Caitlin Clark effect!
