Travis Kelce has joked about the cost of bringing his family and friends to Super Bowl LVIII – admitting he is ‘losing all this money’ ahead of Sunday’s game in Las Vegas.

Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are gearing up for their fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years on Sunday, where they will aim to become the first team to retain it in almost 20 years.

The Chiefs tight end will be cheered on at Allegiant Stadium by an army of friends and family, including brother Jason, mom Donna and, of course, girlfriend Taylor Swift.

However, Donna recently claimed she will not be in one of the venue’s VIP suites this weekend as they cost ‘multi-million dollars’ – with Swift and other celebrities expected to pay up to $2.5million for the luxury in Sin City.

But on the latest episode of his and Jason’s New Heights podcast, Travis still joked that he is spending a fortune to make sure his inner circle at least have a ticket for Sunday’s game.

‘I’m not really doing much different other than just counting how much money I’m spending on this damn Super Bowl for family and friends to come,’ he said.

‘Just making sure I’m on top of those finances and losing all this money.’

Unlike when she has watched her son play at Arrowhead on countless occasions in the past, Donna believes she will be mixing it with the fans in Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII rather than taking a seat in a VIP suite alongside Swift.

Speaking on the TODAY show, the mother of the Kelce family said the cost of the VIP suites are too much and that she has a regular ticket to the game.

‘You can understand that the boxes in Vegas are multi million dollars so I have a feeling I am not in a box, I am in the stands,’ she said.

‘As far as I know I am in the stands with everybody else because it is a pricey Super Bowl.’

Kelce and the Chiefs are bidding to make history in Vegas on Sunday, with no team winning back-to-back Super Bowls since the New England Patriots in 2005.

Yet as they seek a first championship for almost 30 years, Travis believes the pressure is all on the 49ers this weekend.

‘I feel like until you win that you just feel the pressure, the want and the desire,’ the Chiefs tight end told brother Jason on their New Heights podcast ahead of Sunday’s game.

‘Don’t get me wrong, I want this one more than the first one, I feel like. So I feel like it’s just however you build it up in your mind.

‘For me, it’s not as much pressure – it’s just exciting for the challenge at hand. I’ve been in a few of these big games and there’s like no other game out there man, and there’s no other feeling than being on the field and making plays on the Super Bowl. There’s just no better feeling man than to go out there and find a way to win with your guys.

‘I’m more excited about the challenge than I am feeling the pressure of trying to go back to back, even though I want to be in the tier of NFL players and teams that have done that.’

Taylor Swift’s team will be telling the NFL it has to ‘pay for the jet coming back from Tokyo’, claims Boomer Esiason, if the league wants the singer at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas

Taylor Swift‘s management will ask the NFL to pay for the 14-time Grammy winner’s jet from Japan to Las Vegas and her private luxury box, according to former NFL quarterback turned radio host Boomer Esiason.

Esiason has been a staunch supporter of Swift’s inclusion on NFL broadcasts and the new wave of fans the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer has brought to watch the gridiron action.

Yet, the former Maryland and Cincinnati Bengals star thinks his hot take of the NFL catering to the singer for its biggest day of the year would be a bridge too far.

There is no proof the NFL is paying for Swift to be at Super Bowl LVIII, as her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, will be one of the integral parts of the game as his team faces the San Francisco 49ers.

Swift is expected to be in Las Vegas for the game, but has not publicly announced her intention of being at Allegiant Stadium for the NFL’s championship game.

‘You gotta know that her people are in touch with the NFL. And her people are probably saying, “If you want her at the game, you gotta pay for the jet coming back from Tokyo. And she needs her own suite,”‘ Esiason said on his radio show this week.

‘I’m telling you, man. This is business, man. This is all about business. How many times are we, CBS, going to show her? And are we going to show an arrival shot?’ Esiason asked.

‘What’s interesting is if the NFL does pay for all of this stuff, you know, it could be like “OK we’ll take care all of that but we want to be able to shoot you as you get to the stadium, whatever,”‘ Esiason added.

Esiason’s co-host, Gregg Giannotti, asked the former quarterback if he had people inside the league telling him this information or if he was hypothesizing.

‘I think it’s my guess in this case. I have a feeling that she is so powerful, so consuming and the metrics show you how successful the NFL has been with her being a part of it, and they can break down what they believe is her financial impact on the NFL and that number is close to $350 million in the short time she’s been around,’ Esiason said.

Esiason is citing a report that has made the Chiefs and the NFL $331.5 million by her presence at games and dating Kelce.

Swift is finishing her Tokyo leg of ‘The Eras Tour’ on Saturday. The time difference would allow Swift to be in Las Vegas in plenty of time for kickoff.

Attending Super Bowl LVIII would be Chiefs game No 13 for Swift this season. She has been in attendance at the other three Kansas City postseason victories.

Guests will pay up to $2.5 million for a luxury suite inside Allegiant Stadium, giving Swift quite the perk if the NFL comps one for her.
