Pop icon Taylor Swift spent much of the season rooting for the Chiefs, so many Kansas City residents are wondering if she would appear at the parade to commemorate their Super Bowl victory and how she plans to spend Valentine’s Day with Travis Kelce. Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas said in a press conference Monday afternoon that supporters should “stay tuned” to learn if Swift would participate at Wednesday’s parade and victory rally.

Lucas, wearing a red and yellow friendship bracelet, said he couldn’t comment on Taylor Swift’s movements on parade day, but KCPD Chief Stacey Graves said officers are totally prepared for a shift in security, including over 600 officers, 250 outside agencies and around 34 other law enforcement agencies, as well as federal partners.

“Stay tuned.” It’s a reason to watch the parade on Wednesday and encourage everyone to come out,” Lucas added. Kansas City, the Kansas City Sports Commission, and the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Chiefs Kingdom Champions Parade and triumph rally on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in downtown at 6th Street and Grand Avenue.

Swift attended 13 Chiefs games after dating tight end Travis Kelce last summer, and she went viral multiple times for wearing a combination of vintage and locally acquired Chiefs clothing. Some leaders believe Swift’s influence will help attract new firms and inhabitants from outside the Midwest, thereby bolstering Kansas City’s economy.

“We’ve just caught lightning in a bottle,” said Tracey Lewis, president and CEO of Kansas City’s Economic Development Corporation. “I think that’s what a lot of business leaders talk about in Kansas City.”

Swift ended the Tokyo leg of her tour in time for the Super Bowl and will next play in Melbourne, Australia. Her show airs on Friday at 6:20 p.m. Melbourne time (1:20 a.m. Central Time). Melbourne is 17 hours ahead of Kansas City. Taylor Swift’s private jet travel from Kansas City to Melbourne would take just over 17 hours, including a 1.5-hour fuel break, according to JetFinder. This means Taylor Swift must depart Kansas City at 8 a.m. on Thursday, February 15, in order to get at the Melbourne airport by the planned start time.

Information coming out of Travis Kelce’s camp says they have made plans to spend their very first Valentine’s Day together after the Super Bowl parade, before she goes to Australia for her show. Despite their busy schedule, both Travis and Taylor have sacrificed a lot to be there for each other. The beautiful couple also had an amazing time at the Chiefs’ Super Bowl after party yesterday.
