Travis Kelce Explodes with Pride as Brother Jason Makes a Stellar Cameo on the ‘Coolest’ TV Show Ever – A Moment to Remember!

Travis Kelce is thrilled that his brother, Jason Kelce, had a cameo on what the Kansas City Chiefs tight end described as one of the “coolest Philadelphia shows.”

Travis Kelce Started Binge-Watching 'Abbott Elementary' Ahead of Jason's Cameo

Jason, a center for the Philadelphia Eagles, appeared on the Season 3 premiere of the hit ABC mockumentary Abbott Elementary, which aired on Feb. 7. Two of his teammates-quarterback Jalen Hurts and defensive end Brandon Graham-also had cameos in the season premiere.

The brothers discussed Jason’s appearance during the Wednesday, Feb. 21 episode of New Heights, the podcast the brothers host together. Travis revealed that Abbott Elementary is “one of my favorites,” although he only recently started watching the show, which premiered in 2021.

“I just started binge watching the first season, so I haven’t even gotten to the second,” Travis said. “You’re always on the coolest Philadelphia shows,” he then told his older brother, adding later that viewers “have been hoping for some Eagles guest appearances.”

“Why can’t Kansas City have a show?” Travis wondered.

Jason said not having many lines made his cameo “nice and easy.” But when Travis asked whether he preferred the experience on Abbott Elementary or his 2018 appearance on another Philadelphia-centered comedy, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Jason said the latter was more fun-largely because the Abbott Elementary cameo was recorded over Zoom.

“Always Sunny was in person,” Jason explained. “You got to see the set, how everything was done. So that was probably a more fun experience.”

Even so, Jason said he loves “what this show represents.”

“Anything that sheds light on public schools and the Philadelphia school system is pretty special,” Jason said, adding that the Abbott Elementary crew and the show’s creator, Quinta Brunson, “does a fantastic job.”

“I was honored that they asked us to be a part of it, for sure,” he said.

Travis urged New Heights fans who haven’t yet watched Abbott Elementary to check out both his brother’s cameo and the show as a whole, which he said has “a lot of stuff you can relate to, if you went to public school.”
