A log to process from last night’s Grammys, including, but not limited to, Taylor Swift casually announcing a brand new album while accepting her first award of the evening. In other words, it was a huge night for Tay—and while Travis Kelce couldn’t make it to the awards show, he subtly hyped up her red carpet look via a Like on *checks notes* NPR’s Instagram account.
ICYMI, Travis explained why he couldn’t attend the Grammys during ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show, saying “I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for, but I think I got practice on Sunday. Is it Saturday or Sunday? I know I got practice Saturday, but Sunday’s a travel day. Unfortunately I gotta get ready for this big ol’ Super Bowl that we got in a week.”
Anyway, quick recap of Tay’s album announcement while we’re here (in case you missed the Grammys and are somehow just waking up to this news): It’s called The Tortured Poets Department and drops on April 19.
Taylor also posted what appears to be lyrics and/or a note that reads “And so I enter into evidence / My tarnished coat of arms / My muses, acquired like bruises / My talismans and charms / The tick tick tick of love bombs / My veins of pitch black ink / All’s fair in love and poetry / Sincerely, The Chairman of the Tortured Poets Department.”
Personally? Still not done spiraling, so bye while I go do that.
