Travis Kelce says Taylor Swift and his family have inspired him to fight harder than ever on the field for the Kansas City Chiefs this season.
Kelce was speaking Friday in Kansas City as his team ramps up the preparations for the Super Bowl on February 11 against San Francisco 49ers.
He reflected on last week’s emotional scenes where his family and Swift celebrated with him on the field in Baltimore after beating the Ravens to reach another Super Bowl.
‘It’s another memory in the journey we get to cherish, man,’ Kelce said. ‘I’m fortunate that I have all the support I need off the field and it gives me a reason to play that much harder, the people you just mentioned.’
Swift was on the field alongside his parents, Donna and Ed, and his older brother Jason as they celebrated the Chiefs winning the AFC Championship with a sensational display against the Ravens – favorites with many to beat the Chiefs and go on to win the Super Bowl.

Jason was heard telling Travis ‘finish this motherf***er’ as they hugged on the field, with the Eagles man even wearing a Chiefs hat to cheer his brother on.
Kelce scored an early touchdown in the game to set the tone for the Chiefs and overtook Jerry Rice’s record of 151 postseason receptions as the game went on – another remarkable honor in a season that has been like no other for the tight end.
As well as his off-field happiness, Kelce also credited his beard for the Chiefs finding their stride and coming into form at the right time of the season.
‘I just started this at the end of the season and we started playing our best ball,’ Kelce said with a grin. ‘Just rode it on through the playoffs, man.’
Kelce and his team will land in Vegas on Sunday night and start seven days of build-up to the biggest night in America’s sporting calendar.
Swift is expected to be there for the game but she restarts touring next week with four nights in Tokyo, Japan.
Her last night is Saturday, but the 17-hour time difference works in her favor in returning to the west coast of the United States.
