Travis Kelce clearly needed no time to get back up to speed in Chiefs practice despite the hectic offseason he just enjoyed with girlfriend Taylor Swift.

After following his pop-megastar girlfriend across Europe on her Eras Tour over the summer – and even making an appearance on stage himself at London’s Wembley Stadium – Kelce finally returned to Kansas City’s training camp Sunday as the team begins preparations for the new NFL season.

The 34-year-old was keen to spend as much time as possible with Swift before turning his attention back to football, with PEOPLE revealing that his last few concert appearances were ‘bittersweet’ as the couple knew their summer together was drawing to a close.

Nevertheless, just a few days after heading to training camp it’s clear that he is already finding his rhythm again on the field.

In a clip circulating on social media, Kelce can be seen taking a sensational juggling catch following an inch-perfect pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes during a practice drill.

Kansas City’s No 87 seems in fine spirits after linking back up with his teammates, with another clip showing him pulling out some dance moves while going through the gears with his teammates.

He arrived at training camp on Sunday sporting his signature preseason mustache, and later that afternoon he was seen running several routes and even scoring a touchdown in an impressive return to practice.

That led to ESPN host Pat McAfee heaping praise on Kelce, saying on his week-daily sports talk show:

‘He’s just had an incredible offseason, literally taking over the entire globe. Shows up looking like that [with a mustache], then he’s scoring touchdowns, outrunning everybody,’ McAfee said.

‘He’ll be doing that until he’s 65 years old. That is why he’s the greatest tight end of all-time whenever it’s all said and done. You look at his stats, you look what he’s accomplished.’

He finally turned his attention back to football after spending the summer with Swift

Despite enjoying his time with Swift, Kelce – who also spent his offseason shooting Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity and Ryan Murphy’s upcoming horror series Grotesquerie – is now ‘back in football mode,’ an insider told PEOPLE.

‘His team and the Chiefs remain a top priority,’ the source added as they gear up for a threepeat.

Defending Super Bowl champions Kansas City will hold open practices at Missouri Western State University in Saint Joseph before their first preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on August 15. Their title defense begins on September 5 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Swift, meanwhile, is performing in Hamburg and Munich this week before taking the Eras Tour to Poland.
