The mother of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce is opening up about her time spent hanging with Taylor Swift.

In the wake of her son’s much-publicized romance with the pop superstar, Donna Kelce has hung out with Swift and watched Travis play twice in the last few weeks; once in Kansas City in a game against the Bears and then this past weekend in New Jersey against the Jets.

During an appearance on the Got It From My Momma podcast, Donna Kelce shared about her time spent with the Love Story star in private box seats.

‘I feel like I’m in an alternate universe, because it’s something I’ve never been involved with before,’ the proud mom told host Jennifer Vickery Smith.

Apparently, fans can’t get enough of the Swift-Kelce union, considering they both went viral after they were seen laughing together at the game on September 24.

Donna Kelce, 70, went on to share how she’s blown away at all the media attention surrounding her son and the Lover singer-songwriter.

In fact, she would go on to call these last few weeks an ‘whirlwind’ with seemingly no end in sight.

‘I thought it would be over at that point, but it seems to just continue, and every week just seems to trump the week before,’ she said on the podcast, before adding, ‘So it’s really kind of wild, a wild ride.’

Since all the attention started up on Kelce and Swift, some fans have been criticizing the NFL for trying to focus on their dating lives by turning the cameras on Swift and Donna Kelce during the recent games.

‘All I can tell you is that the NFL is laughing all the way to the bank,’ Donna said of the accusations, as reported by People. ‘You know what I’m saying? Good for them. They’re getting the ramifications of everything.’

She added, ‘I can tell you this, that they’ve told me personally that the Kelce family has done more good PR for football than they could have paid a $1 million to a PR firm.’

Donna also confessed that she finds it ‘petty cool’ that some of Swift young female fans are now taking an interest in NFL football now that their hero, Swift, has taken to the game of late.

A source told People that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are still only ‘just getting to know each other’, and that at this point their dating situation is ‘nothing too serious.’

‘They’re just hanging out, and there’s no pressure,’ another insider said in a previous interview with the publication, adding that the two are ‘having fun’ together.

It turns out Doona Kelce only just met Taylor for the first time when they shared that private box together for the game against the Bears on September 24.

One source summed up Donna’s assessment of the Folklore singer-songwriter, sharing that she ‘likes Taylor and thinks she’s very sweet and down to Earth.’

This Sunday, the Chiefs travel to Minnesota to face off against the Vikings, so it remains to be seen whether Swift will be traveling for her third consecutive game.
