Caitlin Clark’s impact on the WNBA can be measured in a lot of ways — the record-breaking television ratings, the sold-out arenas, the scores of new fans.

But one graphic shown during the Indiana Fever’s game on Saturday gave a new, stunning perspective on the impact that Clark and her rookie class have had on the league.

The graphic displayed the total figures for All-Star voting, showing Clark on top of this year’s class with more than 700,000 total votes. As the graphic showed, Clark’s vote total was higher than the top five vote-getters from the 2023 season — combined.

Last year’s leader was A’Ja Wilson with 95,860 total votes. Wilson was the third-highest vote-getter this year but increased her number of votes more than six-fold.

While fellow rookie Angel Reese has added to the explosion in attention for the WNBA, most experts credit Clark with most of the attention.

Wilson said she believes it’s given a boost to the entire league, with many new fans tuning in and getting hooked on the high quality of play in the league.
