Justin Bieber disappointed fans when he failed to take the stage with Usher as a surprise performer during the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime show. it was reported days before that Usher called him personally.

When Justin was spotted arriving in Las Vegas one day before the game, fans were certain that he was in town to pop up as a surprise performer.

Instead, the singer attended the game with his wife, Hailey Bieber, and sat in a suite to watch the show and the game.

It turns out Beiber just “wasn’t feeling it,” sources told Page Six.
“There’s no bad blood between Usher and Justin. Justin just wasn’t up for it — he just wasn’t feeling it.”

“Usher did his best to try to persuade Bieber, sources said, and wanted to create a moment that paid tribute to their history together.”

The two have a long history together as Usher helped the youngster find worldwide fame at just 13 after he was discovered by music mogul Scooter Braun.

Justin watched the game from a private suite with Hailey, Kendall Jenner, Ciara, Russell Wilson, and more. He was viewed mostly staying in his seat while Usher gave his 15-minute set at halftime. The R&B superstar was joined by Alicia Keys, Lil Jon, H.E.R, Will.I.Am and Ludacris.

Justin and Usher released “Somebody to Love” in 2010.

Seeing Justin perform again would’ve been a treat to his fan base as he previously canceled dozens of dates on his last tour in 2022 and 2023 due to his diagnosis with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome in June 2022.

It all worked out in the end as Usher’s first Super Bowl show drew 30.1 million households, according to TV intelligence company Samba TV.
