Usher Joins Kamala Harris At Atlanta Rally: “Everything We Do In The Next 17 Days Will Affect Our Children And Grandchildren”

Usher campaigns for Harris in Atlanta

Usher praised U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris during a rally in Atlanta, highlighting her dedication to defending everyone’s rights.

Speaking to a crowd on the night of October 19, Usher urged Americans to vote for Harris in the upcoming presidential election, which will take place on November 5.

He emphasized the importance of this election, saying, “We have the power to change this moment in the present.

How we vote, everything that we do in the next 17 days will affect the lives of our children, our grandchildren, of the people whom we love the most.”

Kamala Harris returns to Georgia to rally voters as state’s early voting numbers surge

He continued by encouraging people to think about the future, saying, “Let’s vote for a future, ladies and gentlemen, the future that we want them to thrive in.” Usher added that Harris fights for everyone’s freedoms, regardless of their background, and that she envisions a country where everyone is included.

In another part of the campaign, Lizzo took the stage at Harris’ rally in Detroit, responding to recent remarks by Donald Trump about the city.

Earlier in the month, Trump criticized Detroit during a speech at the Detroit Economic Club, calling Michigan a “once great city” and claiming its car industry was collapsing.

His comments sparked a strong reaction from musician Jack White, who labeled him a “wanna-be dictator orange clown.”

Trump went further, suggesting that if Harris won the election, the entire country would end up like Detroit, implying it would be a disaster. “It will be like Detroit,” he remarked.

“Our whole country will end up being like Detroit if she’s your president. You’re going to have a mess on your hands.”

Lizzo fired back at Trump’s comments, proudly proclaiming to the crowd, “All the best things were made in Detroit: Coney dogs, Faygo, and Lizzo.”

She continued, “I’m so proud to be from this city. You know, they say if Kamala wins, then the whole country will be like Detroit. OK. Proud like Detroit. Resilient like Detroit. We’re talking about the same Detroit that innovated the auto industry and the music industry. So put some respect on Detroit’s name.”

In addition to Usher and Lizzo, many other entertainment figures have shown their support for Harris, including Jon Bon Jovi, Charli XCX, Beyoncé, Megan Thee Stallion, Bon Iver, Quavo, Neil Young, Taylor Swift, and Stevie Wonder.
