VIDEO: Russell Wilson Reveals His New Catchphrase With Pittsburgh Steelers, And It’s Way Better Than “Broncos Country, Let’s Ride!”

Russell Wilson didn’t waste any time revealing his new catchphrase as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers after officially signing his one-year deal with the franchise.

The Steelers’ social media team posted a video of Wilson’s message for the fanbase after he signed his contract. With “Broncos country, let’s ride!” long in the past, Wilson has replaced it with “Here we go!”:

For those unaware, “Here We Go!” is the Steelers’ official fight song. It was written by Roger Wood and debuted in 1994, and there have been several updated versions of the song over the years to account for the changes in players.

What can we say? “Here we go”, is a lot better of a catchphrase than the cringeworthy, “Broncos country, let’s ride!”

The Steelers signed Wilson to a one-year deal following his release from the Denver Broncos. It was assumed that he would compete with 2022 first-rounder Kenny Pickett for the QB1 job, but the Steelers traded Pickett to the Philadelphia Eagles in a stunning move on Friday afternoon.

So unless the Steelers have another surprise in their back pockets, the nine-time Pro Bowler will be the club’s day one starter next season.

After a forgettable first year with the Broncos, Wilson bounced back in 2023 by completing 66.4 percent of his pass attempts for 3,070 yards, 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Needless to say, the Steelers would welcome similar production after the Pickett-Mitch Trubisky-Mason Rudolph trio threw just 13 TDs last season.
