Angel Reese and Marina Mabrey react as reporter forgets to mute mic during postgame presser
Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky suffered an 84-71 loss against the Seattle Storm in their latest matchup on Sunday but it did not stop Reese from setting a new record in the WNBA. She broke Candace Parker’s record and set a new record for the most consecutive double-doubles in the league’s history.
After the game, Reese, Mabrey, and Sky coach Theresa Weatherspoon attended a post-game conference where an incident had the three Sky members confused. A reporter forgot to mute his microphone while interviewing Reese, Mabrey, and Weatherspoon on a video conference call. The video of the incident was posted on social media.

In the video, the reporter can be seen asking a question to Reese and stops midway to talk to someone in his background. Reese is confused by the sudden attention change and asks the reporter to repeat his question. However, the reporter continues to talk with someone else and the conversation seemingly turned a bit private.
Reese and Mabrey’s faces lit up as they smirked and smiled at the unknown reporter’s mistake. Weatherspoon, however, had an embarrassed look on her face after realizing the reporter’s mistake. The assistant at the scene tried to make the journalist aware of the mistake but after he finished his conversation, he returned to the interview as if nothing had happened.
