The Fresh Prince told Sean about the concept of reaching the “cliff top,” the opposing idea of hitting rock bottom.
Will Smith shared some wisdom with Big Sean about reaching everything that you can in the material world.
On Monday, Sean Don posted a video on his TikTok page of himself getting some advice from the Fresh Prince. The conversation appeared to be about reaching rock bottom and someone having to do everything they can to get out of that and reach something Smith called a “cliff top.”
“When you hit the edge of the material world, and you know I call it cliff top,” Smith said as Sean analyzed his statement. “Cliff top is the opposing aspect of rock bottom. When somebody hits rock bottom, and you can’t go no lower, you need to get your shit together, or you die right. That’s rock bottom. Cliff top is you either find God, or you die. Cause there’s nothing else here for you.”
Smith is no stranger to sharing wisdom with others. In June, the four-time Grammy Award winner released a new track, “You Can Make It” featuring Fridayy and the Sunday Service Choir. In the song, Smith urges anyone going through a rough patch in their life to “embrace the journey.”
“Believe me, they tried to bleed Will Smith / In the rearview, I see adversity was the gift / To lift me higher, gifts require faith / So dry your eyes and then you’ll find a way / Out of the madness, out of the maze / Out of the sadness into the rays / The darkest of nights will turn into days / And every storm runs out of rain, hold on,” Smith raps on the song.
