While Taylor Swift’s presence has been a point of contention with many football fans, Coach Reid himself said Taylor is not a distraction for Kansas City’s Tight End, Travis Kelce.
In Week 22 of the Let’s Go! podcast with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray, Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid doted on the relationship between Tight End Travis Kelce and international superstar Taylor Swift.
While many have speculated that the singer’s presence at Chiefs games may have taken his head out of the game, Reid said that is not the case.
“Listen, she’s a good girl and I’m happy for Trav, and there has been no distraction that way at all,” Reid told the former NFL stars and sportscaster. “Trav’s handled it right, she’s handled it right, and we just move forward, so it hasn’t been a problem at all.”

However, Reid said his relationship with Swift goes back to his days with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Swift grew up on a Christmas Tree farm in West Reading, Penn., and had been a self-proclaimed Eagle’s fan. Her father also had his own roots in football as he played at the University of Delaware.
“I knew her before, from Philadelphia,” Reid noted. “Her dad played at Delaware and was a big football fan and good guy, so I had met him there, and her.”
While loyalties may have been tested when the Chiefs faced off against the Eagles, there is no question who the Swifts will cheer on at the upcoming Big Game.
The Kansas City Chiefs are set to take on the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11. Viewers in the KC Metro will be able to watch the game on KCTV5.
