The NFL on Tuesday revealed mic’d-up footage of their on-field embrace, in which Kelce complimented Swift for making it to the Big Game in Las Vegas. The NFL’s cameras and microphones captured exactly what Travis Kelce said to Taylor Swift after the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58.

During the Super Bowl 58 postgame festivities, the 34-year-old Chiefs tight end can be heard gushing to Swift and praising her for flying from Japan. “Thank you for coming half way across the world, you’re the best baby, the absolute best,” Kelce can be heard saying. Swift, of course, famously went from Tokyo to Las Vegas just one day before Super Bowl 58 on Sunday, February 11.

Swift returned to the United States in time to see Kelce play in his fourth Super Bowl after four consecutive Eras Tour gigs in Tokyo, Japan. And she, along with 123 million people, witnessed an unprecedented conclusion.

Kansas City scored a game-tying field goal in the final seconds of regulation, forcing only the second overtime in Super Bowl history. After San Francisco scored a field goal in overtime, the Chiefs went down the field and won on a walk-off touchdown throw from quarterback Patrick Mahomes to wide receiver Mecole Hardman.

The Chiefs’ victory over the Niners marks their third Super Bowl title in the last five seasons. Furthermore, they are the first NFL team to win back-to-back championships since Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, and the New England Patriots did so in 2003 and 2004. Given Patrick Mahomes’ success, the Chiefs will undoubtedly be among the favorites to win the Super Bowl next year.
