According to a report from entertainment website TMZ, Will Smith was driving his car on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California on Friday night. The star of multiple award-winning films in Hollywood, was driving at 101 kilometers per hour in a zone where the limit is 72.

Something that aggravated the situation and the criticism for Will Smith is that in the area where he was stopped by the police, 58 people have already died in the last 14 years and all of them due to traffic accidents.

The California Highway Patrol was very clear that there is a lack of tolerance with speeding tickets in that area and that the carelessness of drivers is what has caused deaths. The most recent tragedy in this area occurred in October 2023, where a tragic accident claimed the lives of four Pepperdine University students. The vehicle they were in was traveling at 167 kilometers per hour and collided violently, leading to the death of two young people.

How much will Will Smith have to pay for his ticket?

After Will Smith was pulled over by the police, he was ticketed and according to different reports, the I Am Legend actor has to pay $400.
