Will Smith felt betrayed after Jada Pinkett Smith revealed their problems in her memoir.
Will Smith is reportedly fed up with his ex-wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s revelations of their personal dilemmas. The actor felt betrayed after she divulged everything in her memoir Worthy. The ex-couple has been separated for seven years and has not been living under the same roof for a long time.
They were no longer a couple when they attended the infamous Oscars event or when Pinkett Smith confessed her entanglement with singer August Alsina. Recently, the actress stated that divorce was not an option for them, but it seems otherwise for Smith.
Will Smith Felt Humiliated After Jada Pinkett Smith’s Revelations In Her Memoir
A source informed Heat Magazine that Will Smith reportedly wants to divorce Jada Pinkett Smith after all the embarrassment she brought unto him by airing their dirty laundry on media:
“Will was blindsided by Jada’s confessions. Jada did not have his approval to rip the lid off their private life like she did, but went ahead regardless – and it’s left him feeling more emasculated than ever.”
The insider remarked Smith felt “humiliated” and “betrayed” by his former wife discussing the controversial Oscars slap. Pinkett Smith even admitted she was surprised when she was referred to as “wife.”

According to the source, the only thing that’s holding Smith back from officially divorcing his ex-wife was their $400 million fortune:
Smith is already thinking about legally separating from Pinkett Smith to make way for a new and real relationship in the future. The insider noted:
“He wants to divorce and end the charade. He also wants to make room in his life for a real relationship, and, even though a part of him still loves Jada, that ship has sailed.”
While the King Richard actor is still healing from the backlash of the Oscars slap, he is also trying to resolve his dilemma with regard to his failed marriage with Pinkett Smith.
Jada Pinkett Smith Could Not Believe Will Smith Called Her “Wife”

Jada Pinkett Smith told Hoda Kotb in an NBC News primetime special that she was surprised when Will Smith addressed her as “wife” after Chris Rock made an insensitive comment about her alopecia during the Oscars event. The actress explained (via Variety):
“First of all, I’m really shocked, because mind you, I’m not there. We haven’t called each other husband and wife in a long time. I’m like, ‘What is going on right now? Keep my wife’s name out of your mouth?’ I’m really worried for Will because I don’t know what’s going on.”
Pinkett Smith previously admitted she and her ex-husband are still figuring out how to resolve their issues. They initially stated that there would be no reason to call for a divorce, but perhaps times have changed since then. Both of them, though, confessed they still care for each other despite everything.
