WNBA Made Unfortunate Announcement During Aces-Mystics Matchup

Fans tuning in for Thursday night’s WNBA matchup between the Las Vegas Aces and Washington Mystics didn’t have the best viewing experience in the first half.

Early in the Fourth of July clash, the WNBA announced that it was experiencing technical difficulties with its broadcast on Amazon Prime.

“We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with the broadcast of the Las Vegas Aces vs. Washington Mystics game. Please stay tuned for updates,” the league wrote on X.

Fortunately, the lapse in coverage didn’t last long. The broadcast got back up and running after about a 10-minute delay.

“WE’RE BACKKKK,” the WNBA wrote in a follow-up post.

The reigning-champion Aces are one of the hottest tickets in the league right now. Las Vegas has won each of its last five games, including a win over Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Tuesday night.

The Aces took a 48-35 lead over the Mystics into the halftime break. Kelsey Plum picked up right where she left off after Tuesday night’s 34-point performance, notching 16 points through the first two quarters against Washington.
